Welcome to Cheadle Hulme Conservatives' web site.
Between now and the next local elections, scheduled for 6th May 2010, this site will grow to cover all aspects the voters of Cheadle Hulme will need to improve their community by voting a Lib Dem out, and voting a Conservative in.

On principled & non-principled political stances
A personal view that there are 2 principled points of view within English political thought, plus many extremist & several "sit-on-the-fence" less principled views.

Why Chris Huhne won't be surprised when the Lib Dems loose control of Stockport MBC

Lib Dems in power too long ???

Following the May 2009 local (& European) elections, on BBC news programs, Chris Huhne & other leading Lib Dem parliamentarians put down their loss of Devon & Somerset councils to the "anti-incumbency effect" i.e. when one party has been in power for a long time, the voters want a change. What they do not say of course is that the reason the voters want a change is because parties in power too long tend to get complacent, ineffective & lazy.

Does this sound familiar to us in Stockport ???

It's time for change - to a council which is not only competent, but also frugal when spending YOUR money.
